KRAYMO / INDUSTRIAL · MODDED MINECRAFT GUIDE

IndustrialCraft 2 Classic vs modern Minecraft tech mods

IndustrialCraft 2 Classic (IC2 Classic) focuses on a recognisable industrial progression: generate EU energy, connect machines, process ores and gradually automate production. Modern technology mods can achieve similar goals, but power networks, machines and recipes are not interchangeable by default.

Neither approach is universally better. IC2 Classic appeals to players who enjoy planning a compact factory around a coherent technology system and learning each energy tier. A modern modpack may offer several competing power systems, alternative machines and more integration choices.

What makes IC2 Classic different?

Instead of treating electricity as a background resource, IC2 Classic makes the energy network part of your factory design. Generators produce EU. Cables carry it to the machines that need it. Storage provides a buffer between variable generation and processing demand. A more powerful factory needs planning, not just more blocks.

A practical early goal is to power one processing machine consistently, then connect a second machine, add storage and organise input and output. You can scale the same principles into more advanced processing. Exact recipes, upgrades and safe energy levels must be checked against the version and configuration of the server you actually play on.

EU vs FE: can machines share power?

EU and FE are distinct energy systems. Some modpacks include converters or integrations, but you should not assume one is installed on KRAYMO. Confirm the mod list and test compatible machines before you design a mixed-power factory. A failed connection may be a missing integration, a cable or tier mismatch, or a server-specific change.

For basic diagnosis, first check whether your generator produces power, whether a cable reaches the machine, whether intermediate storage is accepting EU, and whether the machine has the correct inputs. Work one segment at a time so the source of a problem is clear.

Starting an IC2 Classic factory on KRAYMO

  1. Gather resources. Set up safe shelter, fuel, mining and a supply of crafting materials.
  2. Make the first EU generator. Learn how fuel consumption relates to the processing you want to run.
  3. Connect one machine. Start with ore processing and a reliable path for produced items.
  4. Add storage. Avoid interrupted work when machines run faster than generators.
  5. Automate gradually. Expand one part of the production chain at a time and verify recipes before committing materials.

Which Minecraft version does KRAYMO use?

KRAYMO Industrial targets Minecraft 1.19.2 and Forge 43.5.2, with IndustrialCraft 2 Classic at the centre of its technology gameplay. The official KRAYMO Windows launcher and project accounts are used for alpha onboarding, with no Microsoft sign-in required for the KRAYMO account. Multiplayer availability and pack details may change while alpha testing continues.

Do not mix jars or configurations from unrelated Industrial servers. Start with the compatible client provided by the KRAYMO launcher, and check the actual alpha availability before connecting.
